Music is a universal language. It helps connect strangers, bring together those that were once far apart and enhance the moment that we are living in. From the minute we started our drive to Addams / Medill Park to the moment we stepped into the gates and heard the beep of the scanner, the bass started pounding and plenty of smiles were glowing. Different artists such as 3LAU, Dillon Francis, Carnage and plenty more filled the stages creating irresistible sets. Crowds full of hundreds came in, sharing the love and letting the music fill the empty places in their heart. Aside from the overpriced food trucks to the long lines at the free water station, it was an experience that we would never change for the world. The best view, both of us would agree on, is the view on someone’s shoulders. The heat waves were rising, water splashing from the open Camelbaks, and the arms full of kandi bracelets were flowing in the air. It was an euphoric experience that will never be forgotten and we will definitely be attending Spring Awakening 2017.
